Sudeley Castle, situated on the outskirts of Winchcombe (8 miles from Broadway), has a varied and interesting history. Rebuilt in the 15th Century, it was later owned by Sir Tomas Seymour who married Catherine Parr, the widow of Henry VIII. She is buried in the chapel which is one of the few parts of the original building to survive. Standing in delightful grounds Sudeley Castle was later restored as a manor house and is open to visitors.
Charlecote Park
Superb Tudor House - The home of the Lucy family for over 700 years, the
mellow brickwork and great chimneys of Charlecote seem to sum up the very
essence of Tudor England. The balustraded formal garden opens onto a fine deer

Coughton Court is one of Englands finest Tudor houses. Home of the
Throckmorton family since 1409, the house has fine collections of furniture,
porcelain and family portraits, as well as a fascinating exhibition on the
Gunpowder Plot of 1605. The family has created and developed the grounds over
the past 12 years so they are now totally in keeping with the period

Chastleton House
One of Englands finest and most complete Jacobean houses.The gardens

Warwick Castle

The friendly line in the Cotswolds The GWR is a steam and diesel heritage
railway in the Cotswolds. Since 1981, the volunteers have restored over 10

Walking the Cotswold Way
The Cotswold Way National Trail is a long distance walk of
approximately 100 miles that runs along the Cotswold escarpment between Bath
and Chipping Campden. On the trail you will experience stunning views across
the Severn Vale to Brecon Beacons in Wales, Malvern Hills and Forest of Dean.
You will walk through beech woods and pasture enclosed with traditional dry
stone walls, see charming villages with Cotswold stone cottages and pass
through sites of historic interest.
Chedworth Roman Villa
Remains of one of the largest Romano-British villas in the country. Over
one mile of walls survives and there are several fine mosaics, two bathhouses,
hypocausts, a water-shrine and latrine. Set in a wooded Cotswold combe near
Cheltenham, the site was excavated in 1864 and still has a Victorian
atmosphere.
