The handsome Bear of Rodborough Hotel stands on the wilds of Rodborough Common, high above Stroud.
Built as a coaching inn over 300 years
ago, the huge stone arch, under which the coaches galloped and the bell used to
summon the innkeeper, are still visible in the reception today.
The elegant cocktail lounge and sitting rooms are reminders of The Bear's
thirties heyday and are the perfect place to relax with a drink before dinner
or spend a lazy afternoon by the fire.
Striking colours and antique furniture create a unique
style in The Box Tree Restaurant where you can dine on award winning modern
British cooking while enjoying the stunning view over the Woodchester
valley.
Climb the imposing oak staircase, past the bell pull
chandelier, to one of the 46 individually furnished bedrooms. Each with unique
fabrics, colours and antiques.There are also four poster and half tester
bedrooms.

The tariff is per room per night based on two people sharing and includes
accommodation, full English breakfast and VAT. Tariffs are not available during
Christmas, New Year, Valentines and Cheltenham Gold Cup and are subject to
availability.
A 25% non-refundable deposit is required when making a booking to guarantee
your reservation. We regret that due to our limited number of rooms, it is
necessary to impose strict cancellation charges. Cancellation made less than 72
hours prior to the arrival date will result in a charge equivalent to the value
of the first night's stay.

Book Your Dinner in Advance and Save
Book your dinner in advance for only £20 per resident. A three-course
dinner in our Box Tree Restaurant is normally £28.95 per person. However,
by booking your table in the restaurant when reserving your accommodation, you
save £8.95 per person.
