the finest medieval castle in England. See how knights in armour lived in 1068.
Then move onto Stratford to see the five Shakespeare houses, including Anne
Hathaway's humble thatched cottage.
A sharp contrast with the vast glory of
Blenheim, the Cotswold's most romantic stately home.

A Cotswold tour with a difference
Not only beautiful chocolate-box villages of thatched roofs and rural
beauty, but also a true artist's delight, as we link today's Cotswolds with
William Morris and the 19th century Arts and crafts Movement, still very much
alive today in Chipping Campden and the surrounding areas. The tour includes a
visit to workshops and special exhibitions, plus fabulous Kelmscott Manor,
William Morris' country home.

covered the Cotswolds, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick Castle, Oxford, Stonehenge
and Blenheim. We even visited the US forces memorial at Runnymeade, which we'd

Chipping Campden (old silk mill, David Hart Silversmiths, St James' church,
Sir Baptist Hicks statues, William Greville House). Broadway and the Lygon
Arms, Stanton, Stanway, the beautiful Buckland Manor, Longborough, Lower Swell,
Upper Swell, Lower Slaughter and Mill (over 1,000 year old bread mill), Upper
Slaughter church and Manor Hotel. Stow on-the-Wold (Royalist Hotel that, at
1,000 years old is also oldest pub in England, with its witches ring over the
fireplace, hidden holes etc). Antique shops (including £35,000 four poster
bed) Moreton in Marsh, Marsh Goose Restaurant, Batsford Park and horses.
Paxford and Churchill pub. Old railway line, Broad Campden, Willersey (old farm
house that's been moved up the hill), Broadway Tower and highland cattle.
TUESDAY
Warwick Castle, Stratford-upon-Avon -- Ann Hathaway's house, Mary Arden's
House (falconry display), Shakespeare's birthplace. Past times shop (quick trip
to Willersey sub-division...sheep and more sheep) pretty cottages at
Westington, by Campden

Blockley, Moreton in Marsh, Chipping Norton, 'Bliss Silk Mill', pheasant farm,
Enstone, Woodstock, Blenheim Palace, Oxford
THURSDAY
Runnymeade, Windsor & Castle, Eton College, Marlow (Complete Angler
Restaurant), London Mayfair.
