This traditional cottage has been furnished to a high standard and is
non smoking - a perfect self-catering base from which to explore the
Cotswolds.
Hope Cottage is a traditional 2 bed semi-detached farm
workers cottage completely modernised and built about 100 years ago, with
direct access to the common of a quiet, idyllic Cotswold village 3 miles from
both Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water. It is mentioned in the Doomsday
book, and has an old church where Gustav Holst was organist in 1892-3. Stunning
views to the South and West and is 100yds from the Oxfordshire Way, ideal as a
base for exploring this beautiful area.
Accommodation
The Ground Floor comprises sitting room, kitchen/dining area, shower room, and
utility/drying/washing/ironing room. The kitchen/dining area is equipped to a
high standard with fridge/freezer, electric cooker, microwave oven, dishwasher.
The sitting room includes colour TV, Video and DVD players, music centre, 2 arm
chairs and a sofa bed for supplementary sleeping accommodation.
The First Floor comprises one Double room and one Twin/Double bedded room and a
bathroom with a bath and hand held shower, wash basin and W.C.
There are stunning views through the window of the front
bedroom across the Common to the distant Cotswold countryside, and on a
summer's evening, table and chairs plus bbq to enjoy in the garden.
There is so much to see and do in the Cotswolds, from
walking the Cotswold Way, to visiting some of the great local Houses and
Gardens, or pretty villages and historical towns.
Places of Interest Include:
The houses of Upton, Snowshill, Sezincote, Chastleton, Blenheim Palace, Sudeley
and Warwick Castle.
Gardens of Hidcote, Kiftsgate, Stone House, Mille Dene and Brook Cottage.
Westonbirt and Batsford Arboretums.
Cheltenham, Bath, Warwick, Stratford-upon-Avon, and Oxford all approximately 45
minutes away.
Racing at Cheltenham, Stratford, and Warwick. Golf at Broadway, Burford,
Naunton, Wychwood and Stratford.
Walking - Oxfordshire Way runs through the village and many other magnificent
walks nearby.

Payment Details
30% deposit required for weekly tenants with confirmation of reservation and
the balance payable 2 months prior to occupancy.
We accept payment by cash, by cheque supported by a cheque guarantee card or by
any of the following credit cards Mastercard, Maestro, Visa, Visa Electron,
Solo or JCB.
