The Thatched Tavern is a beautiful medieval (its precise origins are not known) pub in the picturesque village of Honeybourne at the foot of the Cotswolds. Its prominent beams and wattle and dawb walls are matched inside by its original flagstone floor and furniture. It is also one of the few surviving examples of a crook construction building - two whole tree trunks tied to form an a-pole - which is clearly visible at one end of the building.

In the winter months the bar is kept cosy by our solid fuel wood burners and in the summer you can enjoy our secluded garden. Well behaved children and dogs are welcomed into the bar area, although we would appreciate children not being in the pub after 8.30 pm. There is also a take-away option, which is open for any items on the menu - please feel free to telephone your order in advance to avoid delay.

Cedar Restaurant at the Thatched Tavern is a relaxing environment to enjoy high quality food away from the hustle and bustle of the bar. The dining room is a non-smoking area but diners are more than welcome to retire to the bar area if they wish to smoke.

All meals are freshly prepared to order so please expect a reasonable amount of time from placing your order, in accordance with our motto:
