Talk 'Three Centuries of Social Change from a Three Choirs Festival Performer’s Perspective'

Alexis Paterson joined the Three Choirs Festival Association as Chief Executive at the start of 2016, following five years at Cheltenham Music Festival. She has also previously worked with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Presteigne Festival, as a freelance arranger and researcher, and lectured at Cardiff and Salford Universities. Alexis read music at Exeter University and later completed an interdisciplinary PhD at Cardiff University looking at minimalism in art and music as a response to political and socio-economic developments in the twentieth century. She has published articles on British Experimentalism, the influence of silence on audience behaviour, and non-linear readings of musical history.
